This image circulating around being named as the “New Black Barbie” “Ghetto Black Barbie” etc etc is not even a Barbie. A GOOGLE search, can reveal her name is “Adele Makeda” she is a retired doll of a Integrity Toy’s “Fashion Royalty” line. FYI . . . here is Barbie’s “So In Style” line aka the “Black Barbie”

This doll is currently retailing on eBay for $191.25, some of her other looks are on eBay for up to $300. She’s part of a set including 11 other “Fashion Royalty” characters . . . read her back story here.
Below are some other looks she’s been sold as. The way she looks, along with the rest of her collection appears to embody the current state of fashion. The reality is, somewhere in the world, it’s woman that looks like this and some of the other “Fashion Royalty” dolls RIGHT NOW. (Although the above doll is circa 2004)
Whether you agree or disagree with how they look, these dolls are not packaged with bright pink graphics being shown during Nickelodeon or Disney, targeting children.
