So I’m 2 years late on this video, but thanks to the wonderful SHARING world of FACEBOOK this came across my page today. While it oozes with utter ratchness, completely over the top satire, it’s an extreme reality check.

If you don’t know what an EBT is  . . . GOOGLE it lol. Nah, an EBT is Electronic Benefits Transfer card used to receive public/welfare benefits. Although most people just use “EBT” as new term for “food stamps”. Like in Virginia, our “food stamp” program is now called SNAP, and your funds are placed on an Electronic Benefits Transfer card. Our monetary funds for TANF and other benefits come separately on a Mastercard Debit card. While MOST places REQUIRE your “food stamp” card be used to purchase COLD, FRESH, SHELVED food items, people have found a way to manipulate the system allowing EBT holders to use the benefit cards to purchase HOT/Prepared foods, non food items, and even clothes.

Watch satirical artist Chapter, pokes ratchet fun at this epidemic (apparently in California you can get anything with an EBT card). (Lol ok it is funny, but damn, when I clicked play my immediate response was “What the hell is this hot mess”)
